Norwalk Church Seeking Senior/Lead Pastor

The Norwalk, California, Grace Brethren Church is accepting applications for Senior/Lead Pastor.

Located 20 miles south of the City of Los Angeles and just north of Orange County, Norwalk GBC offers a community that is ready for the right kind of pastor looking to grow a ministry.

Our morning Worship Service is contemporary and our evening service is more traditional in style. We maintain close ties with the Fellowship and have been the home church for Operation Barnabas on several occasions and will be again in 2008 for the West Coast teams.

We have an Elementary School with over 135 students and have an active Awana program. Our facilities are in excellent condition, well laid out and Norwalk GBC is debt free. We are seeking a Pastor and wife team with energy and a strong desire to reach out into the community and connect with those in need of a church home where the Gospel is taught and preached.

Norwalk GBC has strong ties to the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches and actively practices our Brethren distinctives of Triune Immersion and the Three-Fold Communion Service.

Here Come the Millennials

They're call the "millennials." There about 80 million of them born between 1980 and 1995, they're beginning to enter the workplace (and maybe your church), and their priorities are simple, "they come first." That's what Morley Safer says in the preview to his report on Sunday night's CBS 60 Minutes. To see the clip, click here. Check your local listings for this program. It might provide insight into reaching the next generation for Christ!

Shepherd’s Grace Church Announces New Senior Pastor

Shepherd’s Grace Church, Medina, Ohio, is pleased to announce the selection of Ralph E. Molyneux (in photograph) as the senior pastor of their church. His nomination was affirmed by a congregational vote during a special meeting after a recent Sunday morning worship service.

In their recommendation to the congregation, the elders of the church stated that they had “unanimously concluded that he is a godly, spirit-filled man who loves the Lord, loves and knows His Word well, and has the biblical qualifications necessary to lead our congregation.”

Molyneux, 47, retired from the United States Air Force on November 1 after serving as a chaplain for 10 years. He was most recently stationed at Eglin Air Force base in Florida. Molyneux has served as chaplain for the largest technical training wing in the Air Force and responsible for the development and implementation of spiritual growth programs for more than 8,000 students.

Molyneux is ordained as a pastor by the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. He holds a bachelor of arts in Ministry, a master of divinity in Bible and theology, and a master of arts in religion from Liberty University. He has had substantial training and experience in biblical counseling and is proficient in counseling in the areas of financial management, marriage enrichment, suicide and crisis intervention, chemical dependency, and domestic violence intervention.

Commenting on his transition, Molyneux stated, “I agonized for over two years about what God wanted me to do when my time as chaplain drew to a close. God has clearly led me to Medina and to Shepherd’s Grace Church. This is an answer to my prayers.”

Molyneux and his wife, Angel, have five children.

Shepherd’s Grace Church is located at 2325 Medina Road (Route 18) about one mile east of Interstate 71. Worship services are held on Sundays at 10:00 a.m., preceded by a Sunday school hour. Founded in 1997, the church has over 100 members with an average Sunday attendance of 225 people. The congregation enjoys diversity with regards to age, life experience and ethnicity. Shepherd’s Grace Church is affiliated with the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches whose headquarters is in Winona Lake, Ind..
