Wooster Church Announces Staff Changes

The latest newsletter from the Grace Brethren church in Wooster, Ohio (Bob Fetterhoff, pastor) notes the following staff responsibility changes:

Pastor Tom Peters, Minister of Cross Cultural Missions, will conclude his ministry as a member of the Wooster pastoral staff on December 31 of this year. Please pray for Tom as he begins a full-time responsibility with Integrated Community Development International.

Our Official Board of Overseers has recommended we invite Daron Butler to assume the new responsibility of Pastor of Cross Cultural Missions. Daron would begin his ministry on January 1, 2008.

Pastor Dave Marksbury has provided interim pastoral leadership for our daughter church in Millersburg during a time of pastoral transition. Please pray for Pastor Dave’s Sunday morning responsibilities as the primary teacher and for this local church as it seeks new pastoral leadership.

How Many Languages Was That?

A unique multicultural experience will take place in the Grace Brethren church in Ephrata, Pennsylvania (Kim Robertson, pastor) this Christmas eve as a number of people share in the service in a variety of languages. Here is a reproduction from the bulletin of the order of service--we counted at least six languages.

And God understands each one of them!

Kish Valley Seeks Student Ministry Pastor

Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church (Doug Sabin, pastor), located in central PA, is group of approximately 225 regular attendees, whose mission is to help people find REAL LIFE...one person at a time.

We are seeking a man whose primary responsibilities would be as follows: train, work with, and equip leaders to oversee Student Ministry’s weekly gathering; effectively address all levels of spiritual needs in the students; guide the leadership team in a strategic, purpose driven plan for events and outreach activities; and communicate with student families, looking for opportunities to minister to them as well.

In addition, there would be minimal involvement with oversight of Children's Ministry Director, and sharing duties, when needed, with the Lead Pastor, Doug Sabin. If this seems like something God may be calling you to, and you would like further information, please contact us.
